News about MEDS and this Web Site

February 2006 Finally the web site has been updated!  One reason for the long overdue update is simply pressure of work.  Clients have been keeping us busy with a range of different projects.  From new design and development work for products and building services installations to Expert witness investigations it has been varied and interesting. So what is new on the web site?  Here are some of the main points General layout changes to make the site more readable and (hopefully) visually appealing The forum has gone as there were no contributions and work prevented regular updates Details about recently completed projects in product design and building services Details about recently completed forensic investigations and Expert witness work The section on resources has been revised to show the range of facilities that have been developed and installed.  These include the computers systems and the workshop/laboratory for both prototype development and forensic examinations. The computer systems are an ongoing investment by MEDS to maintain the technology and systems that allow effective and efficient services to be delivered to Clients.  Recent and planned additions  include the installation of Microsoft Back Office server, updating of the Web Server and dual broadband access facilities.  These facilities allow MEDS staff to work anywhere where that they can access an internet connection, provide Clients with secure access to project files and host web sites.  The facilities have all been developed with inbuilt redundancy to ensure continuous access in the event of any equipment failures and secure data backup. The workshop/laboratory has been established for over four years now, probably our best keep secret to date!  This facility allows for both the construction and assembly of prototype designs for testing and evaluation and for the forensic examination of equipment and materials.
